Furniture Upholstery in Seattle
We provide full-service upholstery for vintage, mid-century, designer, and heirloom furniture. Each project begins with an assessment of the piece’s construction, condition, intended use, and design. We then develop a plan that may include structural repairs, new foam and padding, and a personalized selection of fabrics.
Our Seattle workshop serves clients throughout the greater Seattle area, Tacoma, Everett, and the Eastside.

What Your Upholstery Project May Include
Depending on the furniture’s condition and construction, your project may include:
• Frame, joint, spring, and support assessment
• Structural stabilization and repair
• Removal of existing upholstery and deteriorated materials
• Replacement or rebuilding of foam and padding
• Personalized fabric curation
• Pattern matching and finishing details
• Pickup and delivery, when appropriate
A Thoughtful Approach to Fabric
Fabric selection is an essential part of our process. We curate samples based on the piece’s history and design, how and where it will be used, and your preferred colors and textures.
Most of the premium fabrics we source begin at approximately $100 per yard. We prioritize textile companies that limit PFAS and other potentially harmful processing chemicals. Our preferred materials include wool, cotton, linen, mohair, velvet, leather, and carefully selected performance blends. We no longer offer vinyl upholstery.
How It Works
1 | Project Review
Send us photographs, dimensions, location, and a description of what you would like changed. We’ll determine whether the project appears to be a good fit.
2 | Planning and Fabric Selection
We’ll discuss the furniture’s condition, intended use, repair needs, and your design preferences. We’ll then curate an initial selection of appropriate fabrics.
3 | Estimate and Scheduling
Once the scope and materials are established, we’ll provide an estimate. A booking deposit reserves your place in our production schedule.
4 | Transformation and Homecoming
We complete the approved upholstery and repair work, then coordinate final payment, pickup, or delivery.
Upholstery Investment
Comprehensive upholstery projects typically begin around $2,500. Smaller, limited-scope projects may begin around $1,500. Final pricing depends on the furniture’s construction and condition, the selected fabric, material quantities, repair requirements, and complexity of the work.
From our workshop to your home
What past clients say about our work:
I can't freak out more about how amazing the transformation of my chairs is. They were quick to respond, upfront about pricing, completely collaborative, and loved my chairs as much as I do. Their craftsmanship is top quality as is their professionalism and communication. Rescue Vintage took my emeralds in the rough and turned them into shining jewels.
-EJ K.
We had a wonderful experience working with Matt and Natassja at Rescue Vintage. We were looking for a unique mid-century dining room table that would work for our large family and guests. They were able to find us the perfect table and they lovingly and carefully restored it. They also sourced us eight mid-century chairs and helped us pick out appropriate fabric and complete the restoration. They we’re very clear about price and timeline, and even delivered the items to our home. Every time we walk by our new-to-us dining room set, we are filled with joy!

What wonderful craftsmen. I had Rescue Vintage restore our family heirloom Lane Acclaim coffee table which was wobbly and had a really damaged finish. When I picked it up after their restoration it was so stunning, I quickly brought in more pieces for them to work on.
