A sculptural Danish modern lounge chair designed by Grete Jalk, whose work helped define the softer, more organic direction of mid-century Scandinavian design.
Crafted in teak and oak, this chair reflects Jalk’s emphasis on proportion and flow—most notably in the gently tapered arms and open, balanced frame. The construction is both light and structurally refined, a hallmark of higher-end Danish cabinetmaking.
Pieces like this sit firmly above standard mid-century production, both in material quality and design lineage.
This chair is offered as a custom restoration, with all structural and refinishing work included.
Upholstery is completed to order, allowing you to select a fabric that fits your space. Once reserved, the piece will be restored in-house with attention to tone, finish, and long-term durability.
Most cushion upholstery projects fall within $550-$1250 depending on fabric selection and cushion style desired.
